Software developer, PMIS consultant, trail runner, and graduate student based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Hi! I'm Ryan Haack. I build software systems, automate complex workflows, and help organizations unlock the value of their data.
Currently, I work as a Lead Senior Consultant at Avicado Construction Technology Services. My work centers on enterprise construction technology, designing custom automations and system integrations, and optimizing Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as e-Builder.
Alongside my consulting work, I am pursuing my Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on advanced algorithms, software engineering principles, and machine learning / AI.
What I Do
Software Engineering
Building fast, maintainable tools, command-line utilities, web applications, and backend services. I work primarily with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Astro, and modern cloud platforms.

Remote work setup from the camper
When I'm away from a conventional desk, you'll usually find me outdoors in the American Southwest—often combining coding and consulting with camping in the mountains.
I am an avid ultra and trail runner, regularly exploring the trails around New Mexico, Colorado, and the high desert. In 2025, I tackled the Mt. Taylor 50k and continue training for mountain endurance events.
I also carry a camera on my adventures to capture landscape and nature photography across high desert mesas, mountain passes, and night skies.
